Really good HK cha chaan teng food made here. Food comes out at lightening speed, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!! Some of the best HK cafe food I've had in a while. The dishes ordered included borscht soup, salt and pepper wings, curry beef brisket rice, bitter melon stir fried with black bean sauce, and a golden lava custard French toast. Also a lemon ice tea and HK milk tea. 4 people were full with all that! Drinks aren't refillable tho (something I'm used to at the cha chaan tengs in the SGV) and the portions are a bit smaller but it's fine as they were executed really well. Waiters were friendly and definitely use some cantonese for bonus points with them. It was PACKED and people were waiting to enter. Popular for good reason in the Chinatown area.

This place is tasty. Be aware they have a breakfast menu and a lunch menu and they change it out after a certain time. So if you want to go for lunch look at what time they change the menu. My favorite dishes are the oven baked rice pork chop over fried rice and the classic soy sauce pan fried noodles.

A decently affordable place with pretty good food. Nothing was amazing but everything was good. We got a bunch of dishes that I don't really see people order. The shrimp with egg was my least favorite. The pork noodles were my favorite. The salt and pepper calamari was good but definitely a little rubbery. I also enjoyed the house grape soda which was very refreshing. I would go back to try their more popular items.

Kong Sikh Tong is a popular Hong Kong-style restaurant offering classic Cha Chaan Teng dishes at affordable prices. Wait Time: The wait during weekends can be long, but it moves quickly, so you'll likely be seated sooner than expected. Service: Knowing Cantonese is a plus, as we noticed faster service when using the language. Regardless, the service is impressively fast, with food arriving promptly after ordering. Food Quality: The food here is quite good and comparable to authentic Hong Kong quality. The French Toast was a bit thick but still light and fluffy, with a sauce that complemented it well. I also tried the Salt and Pepper Fish Filet, which was lightly fried and not overly salty. However, be mindful that they include the pepper seeds, which can pack an unexpected punch of spice. Overall: Kong Sikh Tong is a wonderful spot for breakfast or brunch in Chinatown. The combination of authentic flavors, quick service, and reasonable prices makes it a must-visit if you're in the area.

A decent lunchtime place, although I think what I ordered wasn't the standout so I definitely want to come back and try the breakfast and baked rice. I came with 2 friends for lunch on a Saturday and only had to wait about 10 minutes before getting seated, even though it looked very busy. We got the mapo tofu (they could make it vegetarian), salt and pepper fish with rice, and fried rice with bacon and kimchi. The fish was rice was okay, the fish quality didn't seem very high and it needed some kind of sauce, but it was only $8 so pretty worth it. The mapo tofu was interesting (not your typical Chinese style) and tasted good, and same with the fried rice. We also got the golden toast for dessert and it was such a highlight, I love egg custard treats like that. Very worth!

Delicious and affordable Hong Kong-style diner in Chinatown! They have an assortment of dishes ranging from classics (beef chow fun, fried rice) to western-influenced (cheesy ramen and pastas!). I came in a group of 6 and we split 5 dishes + 1 toast and it was plenty of food. We got: -Beef Chow Fun (delicious and chewy noodles) -Shanghai Style Seafood w Egg White fried rice (plentiful mix of seafood- scallops are delicious!) -XO sauce fried instant noodle w pork chop (so delicious- my favorite!) -Baked Fried Rice w pork chop (unique and saucy and cheesy) -Beef and Broccoli (fine) -Golden Lava French Toast (perfect dessert- creamy and sweet!) Service is speedy and the food comes out quickly. It can get busy so you might have to wait a bit but it's well worth! The food is overall delicious and affordable- the total for each person was only around $15. I would 100% be back, especially to try their HK-style breakfast!

I've heard great things about this place and took my dad here for breakfast. This place gets really busy! We got there about 30 minutes after they opened and by the time we finished ordering there was already people waiting to be seated. We ordered the spam and egg sandwich, satay beef noodles, and golden lava french toast. The satay beef noodles came with a choice of beverage, so of course opted for the HK coffee and milk tea. While the food is simple (and probably not the healthiest), it's one of my comfort foods. They are probably most known for their golden lava french toast, which is deep fried toast with custard. I scraped off the giant slab of butter on top since the dish is already a lot for me, but it was so good! I would recommend sharing with the table. The HK coffee and milk tea was solid and was very nostalgic. Food came out super fast and we didn't feel rushed despite how busy it got. It's quite clean inside which is always a bonus. The menu can be a little overwhelming since there are so many choices, but I don't think you can go wrong.

Kong Sihk Tong is located on Bayard Street and is one of the many Hong Kong cafe choices in Chinatown. The menu offers a range of traditional Chinese cuisine and modern Hong Kong-style dishes. I came here on a Saturday evening around 6:00 pm and ordered takeout. When you walk in, you'll see the cashier counter with a table with menus next to it and in front of the counter is a very small waiting area with 3 chairs. I took a look at the menu and ordered the Steamed Rice Roll with Mixed Peanut Butter Sauce and the Beef Chow Fun in Brown Sauce. I spoke Cantonese and English with the staff. I sat on one of the chairs and waited about 10 minutes for my order to be ready. I was surprised by how quickly the food was ready. The restaurant was a bit busy with people eating and doing takeout. Most of all the tables were taken. It is a really cozy and homey cafe. The Steamed Rice Roll with Mixed Peanut Butter Sauce and the Beef Chow Fun in Brown Sauce were delicious and reminded me of home cooking. The mixed peanut butter sauce was very yummy and the steamed rice roll was fresh. Because I did takeout, the steamed rice roll came in a plastic container and a few rice rolls didn't have sauce on the bottom. The beef in the chow fun was tender and the chow fun sauce was very good. Some mushrooms, carrots, and vegetables were in the dish as well. Both were good portions. I can't wait to come back to Kong Sihk Tong and dine in. Importantly, Kong Sihk Tong only accepts cash or Venmo.
